Tampines Mountain Biking Park

I came to know about Tampines Mountain Biking Park after reading my blogger friend’s Passionate About Life website.

Tampines Mountain Biking Park is a 60-hectare off-road place with trails for mountain biking and BMX stunt cycling in Singapore. If you are looking for cycling paths more demanding than the cycling flatlands of East Coast Park, this is the place to visit. This biking hotspot has enough character to impress weekend bikers and casual cyclists.

Hard-core mountain bikers will be thrilled to know that the course will be upgraded for the Youth Olympic Games (YOG) in 2010. BMX and Mountain Biking competitions for youths between 14 and 18 years old are planned at this location. That should spell more challenging circuits for daredevils and adrenaline chasers.

Casual visitors will be impressed by the Tampines Mountain Biking Trail’s BMX stunt course. This stunt course at the Tampines Biking Trail is where riders can get more kicks attempting to overcome the various heart-stopping obstacles and stations. It will push BMX riders to their limits in terms of skills and confidence. Without doubt, this offbeat biking stunt course is not for the faint-hearted.

The Mountain Trail cuts across rugged terrain covered with dense vegetation with several levels of difficulty. Families with young children may face challenges navigating along one particular scary downhill ride that only mountain bikers who are well trained and well equipped should attempt.

Location: Tampines Avenue 9, opposite Sun Plaza Park
Opening Hours: 7am to 7pm

Thanks for the mention.

I never thought of taking a photo up the mount. Cool view. Should try it when I'm there one of these weekends.
